The challenge that many are faced with this time of the year is being bombarded with advertisements. The ads are telling us what we need, who we are, and what we should do. Our jobs tell us how we should spend our time and find a sense of self-worth. Our church, family, and friends may want our time, resources, talent, gift or support. And this is in some capacity to benefit an individual or as part of a community. Decision, decisions, decisions.

So how do you feel about this tug-of-war? And how do you release the pressure and the sense of overwhelm to complete the goals you made to yourself in January 2018. Especially when it is now December 2018. And you have less than 30 days left of this year.

Listen, I know you’re wondering if it’s possible to accomplish anything that you set out to do in this last month. Let alone having the sense of crossing that goal off of your list as completed. I totally understand wanting to have something to show for your efforts by the time the clock strikes 11:59 p.m. on December 31, 2018. Imagine what your life would look like when you take the necessary steps to check off your list that the task is done. And being able to give yourself a pat on the back.
