Retha’s Crockpot Baked Beans
Recipe Makes 8 Servings

This is a simple recipe made from scratch in which you can add all of your ingredients to the crockpot, put the lid on, and allow the ingredients to marinate together.

INGREDIENTS

1 lb pinto or white beans, soaked overnight in water
2 can “no salt added” tomato sauce
5 tbsp tamari soy sauce
3 1/2 cup water or vegetable broth
4 tbsp apple cider vinegar
4 tsp minced garlic
2 tbsp molasses
1/4 tsp pure stevia extract
1 tsp salt
2 tbsp cumin powder
2 1/2 tsp chili powder
1 medium onion, chopped

INSTRUCTIONS

1. Drain and rinse the beans.

2. Lightly grease your crockpot, then add all ingredients. Cover with the lid, and cook on high 7 hours or until beans are soft.

3. Turning off the crockpot, but keeping the lid closed, let sit 1 hour. Then it’s ready to serve.
