What if it doesn’t have to be that hard?

Maybe you are thinking about or have started writing your story. Have you thought about how you are going to market your story? What if it doesn’t have to be that hard? This is a step to consider at the very beginning during the process of writing your story. I’m sharing these “Writing Tips” that cover steps for a Media Kit as part of my writing journey:

The purpose of a Media Kit is a form that contains info about your product, business, or event. They are mainly used for launches as a package of information given to journalists to help them write their story. However, authors can use their Media Kit well in advance while the book is still in the process of being developed. πŸ˜‰

Brief uses of a Media Kit for authors is to email out to schedule Interviews for radio, podcasts, bloggers, etc. prior to the launching of your book.πŸ’»

I was able to glean various ideas for the layout by researching online and viewing the examples of my author friends in my writing group. As a result, my layout includes the following: “Media Kit Title” with the cover of my book, “About the Book” description, “Author Q & A” which gives an overview of why I wrote the book and what children can learn from the book, “Interview” what is the main message of my book and resources, “About the Author” a short bio, “Metadata” the ISBN# for my eBook/paperback/hardcover, and the “Contact” information for all of the ways I can be reached via website, SM, and business email.πŸ–ŠπŸ“”

I hope these tips have been helpful. Do you have a question or a tip to share with me? Comment below. #author #booksforkids #happywriting #selfpublishing
